Raised in Tacoma, Washington, I am a the daughter of Frederick Palms and Goldie Royal. I was born in Oahu, HI, Hickam Airforce base, which may explain why I'm so colorful. My father was a communications specialist in the United States Airforce and my mother was a teacher, counselor and associate pastor. I'm a wife, mom of 3 (plus 2 bonus sons), speaker, consultant and blogger.
Although I loved corporate America, more importantly, I had an overwhelming desire to find a creative way to merge my passions – family, inspiring others, motherhood, fashion, and community. My hope is to share these passions in a way that would make a real difference to women through the medium of this blog + social media. I wanted to create a place that would allow me to be open about my Christian faith, with the hope of encouraging other women with their own. And I wanted the freedom to share my journey as a cancer survivor, entrepreneur, wife, and DIY Queen. I knew at a very young age that I wanted to encourage women professionally, as well as be a resource to help simplify their lives while they juggle many roles and titles on a daily basis. So this blog is about my experiences that I hope you find inspirational, humorous, informational and fun.
